A culinary tradition rooted in the Santa Maria Valley, Santa Maria-style barbecue centers around a beef tri-tip and is a mainstay of California’s culinary heritage. Featuring local produce and locally sourced beef, Portabella Bar & Grill honors our area’s roots with a menu that celebrates the Santa Maria-style BBQ. The flagship item on our menu is, of course, the classic Tri-Tip Sandwich, perfectly seasoned with black pepper, salt, and garlic salt. Other popular menu items include the Roasted Garlic Bruschetta, Crispy Chicken Salad, Potato Skins, and French Toast.

Dine In With Room Service

You can enjoy the same delicious Portabella Bar & Grill menu from the comfort of your room. Room service is available from from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., so keep your PJs on!

"When dining in the hotel’s Portabella Bar & Grill, I always try to order some of the locally sourced items that might be hard to find elsewhere.

Tri-tip steak is synonymous with Santa Maria – it all started here. It is a tender sirloin cooked on the grill with seasoning, and is available either as a full-cut entrée or thinly sliced in a ciabatta roll as a sandwich. Pair either style with a glass of Liberty School Pinot Noir 2013, another local favorite from Paso Robles.

And for dessert, try to order the strawberries with vanilla ice cream when they are in-season. The Santa Maria Valley is one of the top strawberry growing regions in California – there is even a strawberry festival held every April!"
